Ingredients
- 1 box chocolate cake mix (15.25 oz) Any brand will do; choose your favorite.
- 4 oz vegetable oil Can substitute with melted coconut oil for a different flavor.
- 3 large eggs Room temperature eggs work best for mixing.
- 8 oz pumpkin candy corn You can use regular candy corn if pumpkin is unavailable.
- 4 oz chocolate frosting Store-bought or homemade works great.
- to taste Gummy worms Use any gummy candy you like!
- 1/2 cup Crushed Oreos This adds a nice 'dirt' effect.
- Preheat your oven to 350 °F. Greasing your baking pan will help the brownies come out easily. You'll want to see a nice sheen on the pan as it warms up.
- In a large bowl, mix the chocolate cake mix, vegetable oil, and eggs until smooth. The batter should be thick and glossy.
- Pour the brownie batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Spread it evenly for uniform cooking.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let the brownies cool completely in the pan for about 30 minutes.
- Once cooled, spread the chocolate frosting evenly over the top.
- Sprinkle crushed Oreos over the frosting to create a 'dirt' effect.
- Finally, decorate with gummy worms and pumpkin candy corn.
