Ingredients

Homemade Vanilla Almond Milk

  • 1 cup raw almonds soaked overnight and drained
  • 4 cups filtered water
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract pure for best flavor
  • 2 pieces Medjool dates optional, for natural sweetness
  • pinch of salt optional, enhances flavor

Instructions

  • Soak almonds in water overnight (8-12 hours), then drain and rinse.
  • Add almonds, filtered water, vanilla extract, dates (if using), and a pinch of salt to a blender.
  • Blend on high speed for 1-2 minutes until smooth and creamy.
  • Pour the mixture through a nut milk bag or fine mesh strainer into a large bowl.
  • Gently squeeze the bag to extract as much liquid as possible, leaving behind the almond pulp.
  • Transfer the strained almond milk into a glass storage bottle and refrigerate.
  • Shake well before each use, as natural separation may occur.

Notes

For extra creaminess, blend with a teaspoon of coconut cream or add a handful of soaked cashews. Leftover almond pulp can be used in baking or smoothies.
