Ingredients
  

Philly Cheesesteak Meatloaf

  • 1 lb ground beef 80/20 for best flavor
  • 1/2 lb ground pork optional, for extra juiciness
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs soaked in milk for moisture
  • 1 egg for binding
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce adds depth of flavor
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil for sautéing
  • 1 cup onion diced
  • 1 cup bell pepper diced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 6 slices provolone cheese or cheese of choice

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Sauté onions and bell peppers until softened. Set aside to cool.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork (if using), soaked breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Mix until just combined.
  • Press half of the meat mixture into a greased loaf pan.
  • Layer provolone cheese over the meat mixture, then top with the remaining meat mixture, sealing the edges.
  • Bake uncovered for 45–55 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  • Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For an extra cheesesteak touch, drizzle with melted cheese sauce before serving. Serve with mashed potatoes or garlic bread for a complete meal.
